She came in through the bedroom doorway
With a needle on a silver tray
But I just lay there and wondered
If this was how I would end the day
Couldn't anybody stop her?
Couldn’t anybody see?
Immobilized from night ‘til day
The other residents and me
I said it’s not like treating cancer
Because swallow fifteen pills a day
And though she thought she knew the answer
She said it stops you going astray
And so, I called the police department
The nursing home to report
And though they tried their best to help me
My complaint would probably come to nought
